color

recently I've been reading about Nick Turpin, whose color photographs has greatly influenced my style. It has these surreal and perfect moments framed and everything just seemed to be working so perfectly. Don't say that I'm imitating him(well in some point yes) but I'm nowhere near him at all. It's still in experimenting stage so I'm still trying to SEE things more differently than how I usually does.

Bukit Bintang, the heart of Kuala Lumpur, the shopping parlour..ahh..what a place, what a crowd, what a heaven for this kind of photographs. People are always swarming in from all the directions, all sorts of people. It's cliched but you'll really see people from all walks of life, right in front of you.

there's a lot for me to say but I'll just let the photographs do the talking, please comment and critic because I need them to improve :)

Cheers!

a place they called home

this is a project of OPTIONS, a home for special kids, special people, and where unlimited potential can be seen. They are normal human beings just like us, but the society is seeing them as somewhat not normal. It's time we change this perspective.

this painting is done by all the children here, making it very soulful and significant. Some of them don't talk like us, the one in orange is a great artist.

how simple and lovely is the smile from this two

will keep this post updated so stay tuned :)

cheers!

back at home

Well, it's always an interval of three months before I'm back at my lovely hometown miles and miles away divided by the south china sea in between west and east of M'sia. This time round I have only a week to spend and of course, I cannot waste this opportunity to document the old streets back there.

I'm experimenting new shooting style and technique or whatever you'd like to call it with the streets. It's really self-enriching and inspiring to shoot something different back in Sibu rather than the same old things that has been done by thousands and thousands of photographer out there(exaggerated).

I'm trying not to get too many street portraits, but rather the un-posed moments that is on-going on the streets. These are memorable moments to me.
